Education Committee

Update: October 22, 2025

Purpose of the Education Committee

The Education Committee conducts educational training nationwide with the goal of “improving the quality of Nephrology nursing.” This aligns with the society's purpose: “To conduct research and investigations into the theory and application of Nephrology nursing, and through presentations, provision, and exchange of knowledge and information, to advance Nephrology nursing, thereby contributing to the health and welfare of people and to the development of scholarship worldwide.” Working in coordination with the Certification Committee and the CKDLN Committee, the Education Committee is responsible for fundamental education and training.

Three Pillars of Education and Training

1) Education for Beginners
Offered under the name “Exam Preparation Seminar,” this program consists of courses selected as the most essential basic knowledge based on the textbook “Nephrology Nursing.” It aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of nephrology nursing, enhance overall technical skills, and establish expertise in nephrology nursing.

2) Education for Practitioners of Nephrology nursing
Titled “Basic Education Seminar,” this is held annually alongside the academic conference. It focuses on themes directly applicable to basic Nephrology nursing care, aiming to enhance the overall quality of Nephrology nursing care.

3) Education for a Broad Range of Professionals Involved with CKD Patients
Titled “Topics Training,” this program runs annually from February to March. It sets themes that are highly topical, important within the field of Nephrology nursing, and informed by a forward-looking perspective on societal trends. It is widely open to non-members and professionals outside the nursing field. It serves as a forum for discussing the role Nephrology nursing should fulfill within society.

Future Outlook

The Education Committee will continue its educational initiatives to enhance the expertise of Nephrology nursing by widely publicizing the three pillars through which it provides educational opportunities. We will explore educational programs that enable the fulfillment of our societal role through the provision of high-quality nursing care.
