Purpose

This committee collects information and holds discussions regarding medical safety and infection control related to nursing care for CKD. It promptly provides members with the discussed content to support appropriate responses and prevention measures at each facility.
It collaborates with related and cooperating academic societies to strive for medical safety and infection control in the field of Nephrology nursing.

Activities

  1. Collaborate with related and cooperating academic societies to develop manuals, guidelines, and other materials concerning medical safety and infection control.
  2. Collaborate with related and cooperating academic societies to conduct joint research and surveys.
  3. Cooperate with requests for authorship and lectures from related and cooperating academic societies.
  4. Establish systems as a cooperating society of the Japan Medical Accident Investigation Organization. Designate regional representatives to prepare for requests to assist in medical accident investigations, and coordinate with these representatives when such requests arise.
  5. Participate in the Medical Safety Subcommittee of the Crisis Management Committee of the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy and respond to requests for cooperation in committee planning at the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy's academic conferences and general meetings.
  6. Respond to consultations and questions from members regarding medical safety and infection control.
